In September I travelled to Italy to attend a 2 week seminar lead by Autumn Skye. The workshop was held in Torri Superiore at an eco village where I ended up staying for a lot longer after the seminar ended to work the olive harvest. This piece took about a month to complete. It goes into detail about the virgin archetype, layers of trauma and healing. Everyday something was either painted over or added. I have never painted a piece like this and it might be one of the most beneficial pieces I’ve done while learning about myself. It has introduced a new direction of art therapy for me and painting. There are a lot of symbols within that resemble the land I was on, the virgin archetype, generational trauma and purity.
